GEM Appreciation Day - 2007
Lincoln, CA, the first city in the nation to be designated a "GEM Friendly City", lowered its temperature and enjoyed a delta breeze to provide an ideal day to hold the 2007 GEM Inspection Clinic at McBean Park.(CLick here to watch video)
All residents of Lincoln were able to view GEMS and learn the advantages of owning an electric vehicle for local trips within Lincoln. Rick Kasper, President and COO, of Global Electric Motorcars, led a team from Fargo, ND to provide the day long Inspection Clinic. Rick's team included Keith Holm, Mobile Service Mgr, and his team of Service Technicians Lupe, Tim, Marc, Ron, and Brian. Others from Fargo were Dana Brock, District Sales Manager, Valerie Weber Hamann, Business Development Manager, Daphne Dahl, Customer Service Manager and Jason Leshovsky, Parts Associate. Rick Kasper was available to answer questions and take suggestions on the GEM product.
How many times do you get to talk to the president of the company and make suggestions? During the hours of 8am and 4pm, 75 GEMs were inspected. A 25 point Inspection was performed on each GEM. Suggested service was noted and "tips" were recommended to keep the electric vehicles in top running order. People's Folsom Lake Chrysler, represented by Tom and Keith provided a variety of new GEMs, equipped with various options, for demo drives and viewing and their two lovely young lady assistants served hot dogs, chips, and beverages. The Umpqua Bank Ice Cream truck provided cooling ice cream in the afternoon thanks to Puja Markus-Brooks, Store Manager. Thanks to everyone who made the "GEM Appreciation Day" a successful event. See you next year. Hopefully driving your NEV!
